CrossFit St. Croix will be hosting CrossFit for Hope on Saturday, July 6th at 9:30AM!
We know that this is a holiday weekend, but for those of you that will be in town; this is an amazing opportunity to raise money for an amazing cause and perform a workout that will be done at thousands of other CrossFit Boxes worldwide on the same day!
The goal of this fundraiser from the CrossFit for Hope – Cures website, “CrossFit, Inc. is committed to be a driving force in finding Cures for catastrophic children’s illnesses. Through the efforts of our affiliates and, ultimately, you the CrossFit community can be a driving force in the fight against children’s cancer and other illnesses. Our ability to make change is infinite. Our action is a responsibility.”

“Hope For Cures” WOD (same format as Fight Gone Bad – 3 rounds of 1 minute at each of 5 stations with a 1 minute rest between rounds)

We hope that everyone will join CrossFit St. Croix on Monday, May 27th at 10:00 AM to participate in Memorial Day Murph 2013. Memorial Day Murph is a yearly internet based fundraiser for military charities. It’s based on a workout called “Murph” named after Medal of Honor recipient Michael Murphy. The idea is to honor ALL of our fallen military members with a challenging workout.
“Murph” consists of the following:
1 Mile Run to start
1 Mile run to finish
For time: Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. Start and finish with a mile run. If you’ve got body armor or a twenty pound vest, wear it.
Do not be discouraged if you can’t do the entire workout (Not many can) and we can scale Murph to match your ability. The idea is to challenge yourself and do a little more a little faster every year.
To participate in Memorial Day Murph 2013 at CFSC please follow these six (6) steps:
1. Go to http://mdmfundraiser.com/ to learn about Murph and the fundraiser.
2. Register/donate (you get a really cool t-shirt).
3. Sign up for the WOD at CFSC.
4. Show up May 27th with a purpose.
5. Finish the workout (modify it if you need to, but make sure you have to work for it).
6. Enjoy the day with family and/or friends and remember those deployed.

The CrossFit St. Croix Grand Opening is going to be Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:30 AM!
Everyone is invited to bring your friends, family, and fellow CrossFitters. We will have a free CrossFit WOD (Workout of the Day) for anyone who wants to try it out at 11:30 AM. There will be food and beverages at 12:30 PM. Even if you are not working out, you won’t want to miss it! This is a great opportunity to see CrossFit in action. Let us know if you will be to join us.
